Simon Berry

Simon has over 15 years’ experience working in senior finance roles in a variety of companies and industries including financial services, manufacturing, retail, wholesale and e-commerce . Originally from Newcastle-upon-Tyne Simon qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC, following his degree in Accounting and Financial Management at Sheffield University. Simon spent several years working in investment banking with Citigroup in London, then returned to his native North East, where he has led and managed finance functions in private-equity owned, publicly listed and privately owned businesses such as Akzo Nobel, Attends Healthcare and Swarovski Group. Simon has a particular passion for working closely with management teams in fast growing SMEs, developing finance teams and functions to improve business performance and deliver the business strategy. Simon joined Newcells in July 2021 and is excited to be working with the innovative and talented team to help the company go from strength to strength!
